Redware Tableware is made especially for Alzheimer's patients and people with visual impairments. One of the difficulties associated with Alzheimer's disease is the patient's inability to recognize contrast between colors. People with the disease are unable to separate light colored food from light colored tableware, a problem that often results in the patient skipping meals which leads to considerable weight loss. The bright red color of the Redware Tableware will enable users to tell the difference between the food and the plate which can lead to an increase in food intake. Now, we've added a 4-piece set to our Redware line for use during smaller meals. The 4-Piece Basic Set includes:
- Scooper Plate with Non-Skid Base
- Drinking Cup
- Built-Up Fork
- Built-Up Spoon
The Scooper Plate with a Non-Skid Base feature a slope like edge which allow users to scoop food onto their flatware and the Non-Skid Base help keep the plate from moving. The Built-Up Fork and Spoon make it easier for users with weak grasping ability, arthritis or limited hand dexterity to hold it.
This 4-piece set and any of our Redware Tableware will make a great gift! If you'd like more information about any of our products, please call our toll free number, 1.888.833.8875, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
